About Us

Sky Wave Gin was named The World’s Best Contemporary Gin at The World Gin Awards 2020 and went on to be probably the most medalled gin distillery in the UK in the past 12 months. We now want to share our story and gin with all the customers who wish to visit us for a more in-depth experience of Sky Wave Gin.

We are now therefore seeking a person for a brand-new position within our company.  We are looking for the perfect host for our Distillery Experiences, run at our gorgeous boutique distillery at Bicester Heritage.

About You

We are looking for a great storyteller, able to entertain groups of up to 20 people.

You are an outgoing, engaging, articulate and entertaining person. You will be part of a team which delivers our Distillery Experiences to gin lovers and you will be the face of our brand during the Experiences.

The role will involve talking knowledgeably and engagingly about our story and the production of our gin. It will also involve leading a curated gin tasting.

• Bright, articulate, entertaining and happy to present to groups of between 15-20 people for 1 ½ hours, sometimes twice a day
• Extremely well presented
• Confident and engaging
• Able to build relationships with people with ease
• Passionate speaker
• Ability to retain information
• Organised and methodical with attention to detail
• Great time management skills, ensuring events run to time
• Work efficiently and continually look for opportunities to improve working practice
• Be flexible and able to work some additional hours and some evenings
• Must have a love of gin!

Other aspects of the role will involve:

• Selling in the gin shop
• Preparing the distillery for guests
• Cleaning up and washing glasses afterwards.

Full training will be given, and branded work wear provided. There is parking adjacent to the distillery. Bicester Heritage is a private site with a 24-hour security presence, manned entrances, and CCTV cameras.

Hours and Remuneration

• Initially 4 1/2 hours on Fridays, 1pm – 5.30pm
• Occasional cover for Saturdays 10.30am – 5.30pm
• Hours may increase to more days per week as the business grows
• Employed as an associate.  Paid on an hourly rate as agreed by contract, monthly in arrears
• £11.00 per hour
• Associate to invoice monthly for services
• Associate is responsible for payment of all HMRC taxes (such as income tax) depending on personal circumstances.
