In these strange times, we thought you’d like a little bit of cheering up. Here are some “Lock Down Cocktail Recipes” with which to while away your evenings. Also, don’t forget to check out our occasional “Cocktails at Six” series on the usual social media channels including our new YouTube channel.
Chocolate Indulgence
You will need:
50ml of Sky Wave London Dry Gin
30ml of Baileys Irish Cream
15g of dark (70% cocoa) chocolate
Method:
1. Measure the gin into a small bowl. Melt the chocolate and scoop into the gin, whisking until blended well.
2. Add the Baileys.
3. Pour the mixture into a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Shake vigorously for 12-15 seconds.
4. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a raspberry or twist of lemon.
The Easter Bunny
You will need:
45ml of Sky Wave Raspberry and Rhubarb Gin
30ml of lemon juice (fresh is best, use a little more if using a juicer)
15ml simple sugar syrup (such as Fruiss)
Chocolate powder or cocoa powder
Method:
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Shake vigorously for 12-15 seconds.
3. Strain into a martini glass.
4. Sprinkle a small amount of chocolate powder on the top.
5. Serve with a small helping of mini eggs.
