Sky Wave Partners with Berkley Care Group to Create Unique, Award-Worthy Spirit Tailored to Residents' Tastes

We are proud to announce our collaboration with luxury care home group, Berkeley Care Group, to craft a unique gin named "The Golden Hour" specifically for the care group's residents. This partnership began after Berkeley Care Group residents overwhelmingly voted Gin and Tonic as their favourite tipple.

Located conveniently close to one of the twelve Berkeley Care Group establishments, Cumnor Hill House, the Sky Wave Distillery was a natural choice for the collaboration, given its reputation for creating bespoke gins for discerning clients such as Blenheim Palace. Earlier this year, a group of Berkeley residents (and gin enthusiasts!) visited the distillery to witness the gin-making process and sample some of Sky Wave's current spirits.

The residents played a pivotal role in developing the flavour profile of their bespoke gin, working directly with Sky Wave’s Master Distiller and Co-owner, Andrew Parsons. The result,  ‘Golden Hour’, is a London Dry gin described as having a "floral, aromatic, and characterful expression, perfect for enjoying in a Gin and Tonic". Residents have hailed the gin as "exceptional", with one declaring, "I am rather taken by that!"
