Sky Wave has yet again scooped a raft of accolades at the 2025 Gin Guide Awards, a testament to the enduring quality of its gins.

Awards from this year's competition, which again saw hundreds of entries from around the world inclduing from Africa, Asia, Australasia, North and South America and of course Europe, were extremely hotly contested.

Sky Wave's scoop includes:
Winner: Old Tom; Signature London Dry (Martini)
Highly Commended: Signature London Dry and Liberation London Dry
Special Mention for Distillery of the Year (which of course we won last year!)

Judges comments for Old Tom were as follows:

Positive characteristics that achieved your score:
• Light, bright aroma.
• A really nice approach on the aroma, which is immeditaley backed up by the taste.
• Pleasant to taste and very little burn.
• It’s exactly what you’d hope for from a straight up Old Tom.
• Juniper, light citrus and spice notes all backed up with a sweetness.
• Slick sweetness. Lovely mouthfeel.
• Juniper and citrus on the nose, joined with citrus and some coriander seeds on the
palate.
• The addition of Tonic opened flavours a little.
• Sweet spiced orange with a luxuriously smooth mouthfeel akin to a liquor.
• There is just enough sting on the tongue to let you know you're sampling something
grown up, whilst the finish is refined and accomplished, leaving flavours to evolve on
the back of the throat.
• It almost seems a shame to add a mixer to the equation – but it works.
• Could drink this as a longer serve or over ice, any day of the week.

Characteristics with potential to increase your score:
• Nothing - they clearly know what they are doing!
• Could just have more length on the finish – otherwise spot on.
• Very little. This is a fantastic gin. Maybe more Juniper. But that’s always the case!

You can't get much better than that!
